I am up in San Francisco today so I wanted to use one of the pictures of this fair city for the photo of the day. I think most people have heard about the Golden Gate bridge but San Francisco has two great bridges which opened at almost the same time back in the depression. The Bay bridge opened in 1936 and the Golden Gate opened the following year. The Golden Gate is the more photographed of the two but the Bay Bridge is the work horse which connects San Francisco with the populous Oakland and the east bay.
