The Watt’s toers might better be called the Rodia Towers after their creator Sabato Rodia. Rodia was an Italian immigrant construction working who built them over the course of 33 years between 1921 to 1954. The 99 feet towers in the Watts neighborhood apparently did not please his neighbors who let their kids vandalize them.
The towers are hard to capture in photos (Watts Tower photos) and I think can best be appreciated by looking at the details.
