El Morro Fortress - San Juan, Puerto Rico - Photo

This weeks episode of the Amateur Traveler is about Puerto Rico which reminded my of my only trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico. This imposing fortress is Castillo San Felipe del Morro which has protected San Juan from pirates and other unwanted visitors since 1589.

Love the color of the water and also seeing how the fort has weathered the effects of time and the elements. Can’t wait until we make it to Puerto Rico.

Great shot. I too love the blue water with the contrast of the white on the fortress. Would love to get to Puerto Rico someday!
